Description: El orden es la más alta categoría del sistema, los suelos se clasifican en un pequeño número de clases para permitirnos abarcarlos, recordarlos y comprender las diferencias entre ellos. Existen doce órdenes de suelos que se diferencian por la presencia o ausencia de determinados horizontes de diagnóstico o rasgos que son evidencias de diferencias en el grado y clase de los procesos edafogenéticos dominantes en la evolución del suelo. Los doce Órdenes de suelo son: Entisoles, Inceptisoles, Molisoles, Alfisoles, Ultisoles, Espodosoles, Oxisoles, Aridisoles, Andisoles, Vertisoles, Histosoles y Gelisoles.
