El mapa de cobertura de bosque 2020 representa la distribución de áreas boscosas y no boscosas en el Valle del Cauca. Fue desarrollado utilizando imágenes satelitales de alta resolución (Sentinel-1 y Sentinel-2) y técnicas de clasificación supervisada mediante el algoritmo Random Forest, logrando una exactitud del 90,2%. Incluye una reclasificación para simplificar las categorías a bosque y no bosque, y la validación se realizó tanto en campo como con imágenes de alta resolución.
